Tour description :
Day 01 : Fes - Ifrane - Ziz valley - Merzouga Desert (425km)
After breakfast in your hotel, you will leave Fes travelling towards Merzouga . Today you will travel via the village of Ifran, a beautiful mountains village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” , you will also stop at the cedar forest on the middle Atlas Mountains. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may well sight Barbary apes. After sometimes within the forest, your journey continues to Midelt here you will have lunch and enjoy the Moroccan cuisine and then we will continue our trip along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas. You will be travelling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, afterwards, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive to Merzouga on the afternoon. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check in to your hotel.
Day 02 : Merzouga Area (Camel Trek & Overnight)
After breakfast, we will pick you up in a 4x4 to witness the charme of the African music and then you will get to see the famous lake in the area after that we will be very happy to show you the forest of Merzouga and a local coperative, then taking a break and a delicious lunch will help you to continue the journey by riding the camels back to the desert to spend a night that you will never forget starting by a wonderful sunset on the famous dune ERG CHEBBI , and then having dinner , the night has just started , with us you are going to have fun with playing on a traditionnal instruments a very beautiful music arround a warm fire under the spell of brightning stars , the saharian scene will be finished after sleepin in a tent and watching the magical sunrise , don t miss the adventure .
Day 03 : Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades valley
after having breakfast your camel guide willa bring you back to the hotel to take shower and then you’ll take the road to Rissani , Tinghir, and Todra throats – the highest, narrowest ones in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the throats we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”.
Day 04 : Dades Gorges - Skoura - Ouarzazate (140km)
After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We’ll stop at Kalaa Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continue to Skoura and the dirds valley; visit the Kasbah Ameridil, a well-preserved kasbah in this area. After some hiking in the valley stop in a restaurant, overlooking the whole valley, for lunch. On to Ouarzazate , “the Hollywood of Africa”, whose geography and beautiful landscapes has attracted many world class movie producers.which houses the largest movie studios on the continent, containing props used in movies such as The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last temptation of Christ.
Day 05 : Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Marrakech
After breakfast in your hotel, we’ll head to Marrakech , visiting Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.It is one of the oldest and most beautiful kasbah in Morocco , Now one of the UNESCO heritage site. Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’tichka Pass over the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Tour ends in Marrakech.
