Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour 5 days

Day 1 : Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Valle Del Ziz – Erfoud – Merzouga

The morning of our departure our {Tours Morocco} driver will pick you up from the airport or the hotel where you will spend the night. It will start at a time of Ifrane , a town located 1650m high, also known as ” Switzerland of Morocco” . Everything is so different , the houses, parks, immense forests . Characteristic nests of storks , almost every house has one. We will walk among the flower gardens and then resume our journey , by car, to cross the cedar forest that will lead up to Azrou . This town of Berber origin and located in the heart of a natural park of 53,000 acres on a limestone plateau surrounded by cedar forests populated by monkeys . We will continue through the mountains of the Middle Atlas to the pace of Zad and the city of Midelt at 1488m above sea level. It is not really the place of interest for tourists , but is known from the geological point of view , for the extraction of fossil fuels. Here we will stop for lunch. Then start again to reach Er – Rachidia , but not before going through the beautiful gorges of Ziz . On the way going from Er – Rachidia to Erfoud admire the highlands and the desert of Tafilalet Valley . Erfoud the door of the desert and is known for the extraction and processing of fossil fuels. Start Here location on a dirt road interspersed with small sand dunes . Those high desert of Erg Chebbi are not far away , you arrive before sunset that you can not miss ! The hotel where we spend the night is located right in front of them.

 Day 2 : Merzouga – Hassi Labied – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi

After breakfast depart to visit the village of Hassi labied , the first settlement of the nomadic tribes who, driven by drought and harsh life in the desert , they decided to settle there and abandon their nomadic tents. We will walk in the oases of this village and meet a local family who will introduce you to a mini cooking class and invite you to dine with them . We will then move to KHAMLIA , the village of Gnaouis , very hospitable population with which we will pause to sip tea and listen to a concert of traditional music. For the more adventurous there is a small room where you can dance ! In the late afternoon we return to the hotel where we will find camels waiting for us. Led by camel ascend higher and golden dunes of Erg Chebbi where you can admire the magnificent sunset . Before night you will be taken to the camp where you will be assigned a tent ( private ) . You can then relax with another tea waiting to taste the most delicious traditional dishes from all over Morocco . After dinner, to entertain , traditional music , songs and a starlit sky literally.

 Day 3 : Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Gole Del Todra – Dades

You will be woken up by the camel driver who is still dark and conducted on the highest sand dunes in order to watch the sunrise, for the Berbers “beginning of life”. After breakfast, eaten at the camp, riding back to the hotel to our dromedaries, or, for those who want it, walking. On the way we will be able to admire the changing color of the sand that lights up with the rise of the sun. In the hotel you can take a shower and prepare your luggage and then leave at a time of desert rock “Hammad” sometimes interspersed with verdant oasis. In two hours we will be in Tinerhir, Todra Valley, an expanse of lush palm trees along the river where the landscape will accompany us until you reach the gorge. We will stop here for a stroll among the palm trees and in the evening we will arrive to Dades where we spend the night in a Riad.

 Day 4 : Dades – Valle Delle Rose – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou

We will start immediately after breakfast to reach the Valley of the Roses. Driving along 25km of dirt road to a village where the families who live there still live in caves. We will make a brief stop here for a cup of tea in their company. In the Valley of the Roses (every June 2nd we held an important festival) we will be able to indulge in one of the shops that offer countless products obtained from the processing of roses. A visit Skoura Kasbah Amredyle instead. We will have lunch in Ouarzazate, famous for its museum and film production studios. Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most beautiful Kasbahs throughout the south of Morocco, is located behind a hill and will be revealed to our eyes like a crib. We will also visit the shops and the village. The kasbah has been a setting for many films of international renown such as “The Mummy” and “Gladiator.” We will be staying in a hotel with a view of the kasbah itself.

 Last Day of Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour 5 days from Ait Ben Haddou – Telouat – Marrakech

The 200km separating Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech wind along the Atlas mountain range . We’ll get in touch 2300m high points in a path slowed by turns, but that will give us the opportunity to appreciate the breathtaking peaks of as high as the sky, small restaurants and shops perched on the mountains. We will follow the ancient caravan route linking the towns of Ait Ben Haddou , Ouarzazate and Marrakech. From Ait Ben Haddou travel along the Valley of Tizgui strewn with almond and wheat fields whose wonderful scenery will accompany us to the salt mines. At one time, when salt was more expensive than gold , this was a rich area . Pass the mines will come to Telouat , a wonderful country that holds one of the most beautiful Kasbahs in Morocco , the kasbah of the Pasha Glaoui . The on-site visit and have lunch enjoying a typical traditional tagine consists of meat, nuts , almonds, figs and dates. After lunch we will resume the road to Marrakech.
