Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Cedar Forest → Midelt → Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from your riad or hotel in Fes.
The journey begins through the Middle Atlas Mountains where you will pass through beautiful landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Our first stop is Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco because of its European architecture and clean mountain atmosphere.
We continue through the cedar forests of Azrou where you may see the famous Barbary monkeys before driving toward Midelt for lunch.
In the afternoon, the scenery changes dramatically as we travel through the Ziz Valley with its impressive palm groves and panoramic viewpoints before arriving in Merzouga Desert.
Here you will meet your camel caravan and enjoy a sunset camel trek across the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Arriving at the luxury desert camp, you will enjoy dinner, Berber music and an unforgettable night under the desert stars.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert → Rissani → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
Wake up early to admire sunrise over the Sahara dunes before breakfast at camp.
After leaving the desert, we visit Rissani, famous for its traditional market and historical importance as the birthplace of Morocco’s Alaouite dynasty.
We continue toward the spectacular Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s most impressive natural canyons, where you will have free time to walk and enjoy the dramatic cliffs.
After lunch we travel through Berber villages and beautiful valleys toward Dades Valley, known for its unusual rock formations and scenic landscapes.
Dinner and overnight in Dades Valley hotel or riad.
Day 3: Dades Valley → Valley of Roses → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
After breakfast, we continue through the Valley of Roses and Skoura oasis toward Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert.
Our next stop is the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most impressive fortified villages, featured in many films and television productions.
After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n’Tichka Pass with panoramic photo stops before arriving in Marrakech.
Transfer to your hotel or riad and end of the tour.
